After demonstrations, National Police say security situation remains conducive

The Indonesian National Police (Polri) have stated that the national security and public order situation remains conducive following the demonstrations that took place on Thursday (27/8).

“Nationally, conditions so far remain conducive and under control,” said Head of the Public Information Bureau of the Polri Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, in a statement in Jakarta on Friday.

Although the situation is conducive, he assured that Polri will continue to maintain public security and order while ensuring that services to the public remain well organised.

According to him, maintaining public security and order is an important part of providing a safe and comfortable space for the public to carry out their daily activities.

Therefore, Polri continues to be present through various services carried out professionally and humanely.

“Public activities have now proceeded as they should. We continue to strive to provide the best service to the public and maintain a safe and conducive environment,” he said.

He also invited all elements of society to work together to maintain a safe and peaceful atmosphere.

According to him, public participation and concern are an important part of maintaining security and order in their respective environments.
