After collisions, Bogor KRL runs on single track from Pasar Minggu
KAI Commuter announced that Commuter Line Bogor services are operating on a single track between Pasar Minggu Station and Manggarai Station to minimise delays caused by an obstruction on the Cawang–Tebet line.
“Commuter Line No. 1183 serving the Bogor–Jakarta Kota route struck a person on the Cawang–Tebet line, causing damage to the braking system,” said KAI Commuter Public Relations Manager Leza Arlan in an official statement on Thursday.
As a result, Commuter Line services from Bogor to Jakarta are currently terminating at Manggarai.
Delays have not been limited to the Bogor–Jakarta route. Commuter Line Tangerang services were also disrupted after Commuter Line No. 1914 on the Duri–Tangerang route struck a motorcycle at an illegal level crossing.
“This incident also caused damage to the front of the train,” Leza said.
To reduce delays on the Tangerang line, Commuter Line Tangerang services are operating on a single track between Rawabuaya and Batu Ceper.
Leza said KAI Commuter is still handling and repairing the affected trains and working to clear the backlog of delayed Commuter Line services.
KAI Commuter apologised for the delays on the Bogor and Tangerang lines caused by damage to rolling stock resulting from external factors.
“We urge passengers to follow the instructions and information provided by officers on the ground,” Leza said.
