After Chinese automobile brands have begun making their mark in the domestic automotive market over the past several years, a similar trend is set to expand into the motorcycle industry. One new player attempting to capture the market is QJMotor.

QJMotor previously introduced itself to the Indonesian market at IIMS 2025. After a year, the Chinese brand officially launched its latest product line for Indonesia at an event titled Define Your Power, Ride Your Legacy held at Living World Mall, Denpasar, Bali, on Saturday (14 March 2026). This launch is part of their expansion strategy in Indonesia’s motorcycle market, which has long been dominated by Japanese brands.

President Director of PT QJMotor Industry Indonesia Felix Huang stated that Indonesia was chosen because it is one of the world’s largest motorcycle markets with diverse user characteristics.

According to him, the needs of riders in Indonesia extend beyond efficient daily commuting vehicles, but also motorcycles capable of supporting different lifestyles and travel activities.

“QJMotor is entering the premium motorcycle market in Indonesia because we want to be a motorcycle brand that is relevant and close to two-wheeled riders in Indonesia. We understand that Indonesian riders need motorcycles that are not only reliable and stylish, but also suited to the lifestyle, character, and terrain they face daily,” Felix Huang stated in a media statement received by Republika.co.id on Sunday (15 March 2026).

The launch introduced two models with different riding characteristics: an adventure scooter and a classic-style cruiser.

The first model is the Fort 180 Adventure, an automatic scooter with a 175cc engine capacity designed for daily use and light travel. The motorcycle is equipped with a 4-valve SOHC water-cooled engine and safety features such as Traction Control System (TCS) and dual-channel ABS on the highest variant.

The scooter is marketed at prices starting from Rp33.99 million for the CBS variant and Rp36.99 million for the ABS variant (on the road Jakarta).
