A subsidiary of vehicle manufacturer PT Harapan Duta Pertiwi Tbk (HOPE) has secured two new contracts related to nickel mining projects.

President Director of PT Harapan Duta Pertiwi Tbk, Kevin Jong, revealed that the two contracts were obtained through a joint operation scheme with a domestic company.

“Our subsidiary has secured two new contracts related to nickel mining projects,” said Kevin on Thursday (20/8/2026).

The two contracts are estimated to provide additional revenue of around US$14 million. HOPE management hopes that, assuming the contracts proceed as planned, this contribution can serve as a positive catalyst for the company’s revenue and operational performance throughout 2026.

The contracts take effect in 2026 and have the potential to continue annually as long as work performance remains satisfactory. These additional contracts provide a boost for HOPE, particularly amid increasing nickel mining activity in Indonesia. If project execution proceeds optimally, the new contracts could strengthen recurring revenue while improving the company’s growth visibility going forward.

Previously, HOPE partnered with Beijing Blue Horizon Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., a Chinese technology company engaged in high-tech mining equipment and marine engineering, to enter the mining heavy equipment business.

“The company will explore the development of the mining heavy equipment business in Indonesia, ranging from distribution, technology transfer, construction of local assembly facilities, to the potential establishment of a joint venture,” said Kevin.

He added that this strategic partnership could potentially pave the way for HOPE’s corporate actions. One aspect that has attracted market attention is the discussion regarding the utilisation of HOPE’s status as a publicly listed company to support business expansion funding.

In 2026, HOPE also announced a major expansion move through the planned acquisition of PT Tambang Meranti Mulia Sejahtera. To fund this corporate action, HOPE will issue a rights issue worth approximately Rp266.29 billion through the issuance of around 2.13 billion new shares at a price of Rp125 per share.

Proceeds from the action will be used to increase HOPE’s ownership in TMMS from 21.57% to 99%, making the company the full controller. Overall, the acquisition transaction value is estimated to range from Rp257 billion to Rp317 billion.
