After Accusations of Concealing Casualty Numbers, Pentagon Reveals 100 Troops Wounded by Iran

The US Department of Defense has revealed that at least 100 American soldiers were wounded in the conflict with Iran over the past two weeks, following accusations of a cover-up. Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell confirmed the data, claiming that most of the injuries were minor and the personnel have since returned to duty.

Parnell stated that updated figures would be published via the Department of Defense’s online database. According to the data, 14 US troops have been killed and 427 wounded since the war broke out on 28 February 2026.

Regarding the hundred or so recently wounded soldiers, a quarter were reported to have become casualties during a single night of attacks by Iran. Since the beginning of the month, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has focused its retaliatory strikes on US military assets in Arab nations, including Salem Air Base and Camp Arifjan in Kuwait, as well as Mina Salman port and Sakhir Air Base in Bahrain.

The Pentagon also confirmed that two of the three US soldiers killed in an Iranian attack on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan on 17 July 2026 were Lieutenant Tyler James Feehan, 25, from Hawaii, and Private Isabella Gonzalez, 19, from Texas.
