AFPI confirms summons by Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office over KoinWorks case

The Indonesian Joint Funding Fintech Association (AFPI) has confirmed that its Chairman, Entjik S. Djafar, and Head of Public Relations, Kuseryansyah, were summoned by the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati DKI) for questioning regarding an investigation into KoinWorks. Kuseryansyah stated that they were invited as witnesses to explain the association’s role in relation to its members. ‘We were asked whether we knew about the credit distribution and whether we ever participated in it. Of course not,’ he said. The Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office previously named and detained three suspects on Wednesday (6/5) in connection with an alleged corruption case involving the distribution of funds from a bank in Jakarta through KoinP2P, a subsidiary of the fintech platform PT Sejahtera Lunaria Annua (KoinWorks). Investigators suspect the three conspired to submit and distribute financing to several debtors based on improper analysis, making the process unlawful.
