Affordable MacBook Neo Laptop to Be Sold in Indonesia Soon, Here's the Proof

Signs of the MacBook Neo’s entry into Indonesia are starting to appear. Indications have emerged on the certification page for post and telecommunications (Postel) of the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi).

The MacBook Neo is Apple’s affordable version of the MacBook laptop. This laptop debuted in early March in the United States.

Now, Apple’s budget laptop has appeared on the Post and Telecommunications (Postel) certification website of the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi), indicating that the device will enter Indonesia.

The website also details that the certification application for the MacBook Neo was submitted by Apple Indonesia.

The Postel website does not provide any other information about the MacBook Neo, such as device specifications. Clearly, its appearance on the site is a strong signal of its presence in Indonesia.

Postel certification itself is a mandatory requirement for electronic devices to be marketed in Indonesia. This certification ensures that a telecommunications device meets technical standards, safety, and radio frequency compatibility.

Neither Apple Indonesia nor Apple’s official distributor in the country has provided any comments regarding the MacBook Neo in Indonesia.

Therefore, the launch schedule and price of the MacBook Neo in Indonesia remain a mystery.

This laptop comes in more expressive colour options compared to previous MacBook lines, namely Blush, Indigo, Silver, and Citrus.

These colours are also applied to the keyboard section, creating a harmonious appearance with the device body.

The MacBook Neo is equipped with a 13-inch Liquid Retina display with a resolution of 2,408 x 1,506 pixels and brightness up to 500 nits.

This panel supports up to 1 billion colours and is equipped with a layer to reduce light reflection.

For the performance sector, the MacBook Neo is powered by the A18 Pro chip, which was previously used in the iPhone 16 Pro line.
