Aetna launches new products
JAKARTA (JP): Insurance company Aetna Life Indonesia, an affiliate of giant Aetna Inc. of the United States, launched two new policies yesterday geared for life and medical needs.
Company general manager Vera Sukawati said one of the new products, Aetna Abadi (Whole Life Aetna), was designed for clients who, in the event of their own death or retirement, wished to ensure the future of family members.
Beneficiaries of the insured can claim all benefits after the death of the insured or the end of insurance term, she said.
The policy holder can pay premiums every five, 10, 15 and 20 years or can also make a single payment for all the premiums at the outset of the insurance term.
The other policy, Aeconomedica Cash Plus, provides medical funds for holders in the event they have to undergo surgery or are hospitalized for illness or accident.
It assures protection at all times and gives the insured the freedom to choose the hospital for treatment, Vera said.
Aetna operates in 25 cities nationwide, with 300 employees and 1,000 agents. (jsk)
