Advice for Garuda

From Pelita

The new president director of Indonesia's flag carrier Garuda
has promised to improve the company's services for passengers of
the airline. In connection with this promise, we would like to
give some suggestions as follows:
* If possible, the payment for the airport tax should be combined
with the payment for the flight ticket (like most other
countries) so that passengers do not have to be bothered with the
airport tax charge. Further, it will also be convenient for
travelers who have gone to the trouble of previously checking in.
* The allocation of a 25 percent discount for senior citizens
should also prevail for the executive class.
* Like Singapore Airlines, Garuda should also introduce a ticket
for small groups, such as for four people, issued for elderly
people at a special price. In this way, perhaps, it will help the
company, particularly with respect to its overseas routes.
* Garuda should provide administrative support services, for
example, photocopiers at airports for passengers requiring them,
such as for exit tax letters as an example.
* Garuda's immigration or baggage handling should also be sped
up.
