Advantech Showcases Edge AI Solutions and Wafer Inspection at SEMICON SEA 2026, Driving Semiconductor Innovation

Advantech will also introduce AI-based wafer inspection solutions with NVIDIA’s high-speed computing systems. Combining high-speed image acquisition, GPU-based computing, and a hybrid CPU-GPU architecture, this solution processes large-scale inspection data directly on-site. This enhances accuracy in detecting production defects while reducing latency, thereby supporting improvements in yield, inspection speed, and production consistency.
The solution is powered by the NVIDIA RTX 5000 Ada Generation GPU, capable of handling high computational loads, including AI processing and visualisation. Thanks to its parallel processing capabilities and energy efficiency, the solution is optimal for wafer inspection that requires rapid and accurate analysis of large volumes of image data. This technology also accelerates AI-based production defect detection, reduces processing delays, and facilitates faster decision-making at the edge computing level. As a result, production quality improves, and operational efficiency is better maintained, particularly in advanced packaging processes and next-generation wafer fabrication facilities.
