Jakarta (ANTARA) - The West Jakarta City Government (Pemkot Jakbar) opened an administrative post in the affected residents’ kampung in Pegadungan and Kamal sub-districts, Kalideres district, on Monday.

Assistant for Economy and Development of West Jakarta, Imron Sjahrin, explained that the post was opened to serve the needs of residents affected by the second phase of relocation.

“The post handles the administrative needs of the relocated residents, including the school needs of their children,” Imron said at the location on Monday.

He stated that the land cleared of settlements is an asset owned by the DKI Jakarta Parks and City Forest Service (Tamhut), namely SHP 484.

Imron mentioned that the relocation process not only moves the residents but also all furniture and household items.

“As for the 89 households, some are relocated independently, while 8 households we transport, move, and deliver to Indramayu, to their home villages,” Imron said.

Upon arrival at the flats, the residents can immediately occupy their respective units as the key handover has already been carried out.

A total of 26 open-bed trucks and seven buses were deployed to transport the residents and furniture during the relocation process.

Meanwhile, Imron said there are still about 11 households currently residing on the TPU land.

“The remaining 11 households are still being approached until 5 April. After 5 April, we will carry out forced demolition in accordance with the warnings 1, 2, and 3 that we have issued,” Imron said.

The total number of residents relocated in this second phase reaches 128 households or 606 people.

Details: 103 households from Kamal sub-district and 25 households from Pegadungan sub-district.

Of that number, 17 households are relocated to several rental flats (Rusunawa), while the other 111 households undergo independent relocation.

The targeted flats are Rusunawa PIK Pegadungan, Rusunawa Pesakih, Rusunawa Tegal Alur, Rusunawa Rawa Buaya, and Rusunawa Nagrak.
