The Indonesian Digitalisation and Cyber Security Association (ADIGSI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with CREST International to promote the development of standards, enhance talent capacity, and strengthen the cybersecurity ecosystem in Indonesia. The signing took place on the sidelines of the UK–Indonesia Bilateral Meeting on Digital Economy and Cybersecurity in London. ADIGSI Chairman Firlie Hanggodo Ganinduto stated that the collaboration is part of efforts to broaden access to competency development for national cybersecurity talent and industry players. ‘ADIGSI is committed to driving the growth of Indonesia’s cybersecurity industry. Therefore, we view the collaboration with CREST International as a strategic step to enhance the competence of national talent while expanding access to the global market,’ Firlie said in a statement on Thursday, 11 June 2026. According to Firlie, the MoU will be followed up through a series of work programmes, including strengthening industry standards, boosting human resource capacity, knowledge exchange, developing accreditation pathways, and reinforcing the capabilities of cybersecurity industry players in Indonesia. He added that the collaboration is expected to support efforts to improve the quality and professionalism of the national cybersecurity sector, which continues to grow in line with the acceleration of digital transformation. CREST International CEO Nick Benson noted that Indonesia is one of the countries with rapid digital economy development in the Asia Pacific region, which in turn increases the need for strengthened cybersecurity capacity and standards. ‘This partnership is part of CREST’s commitment to supporting the development of standards, competency, and professionalism in Indonesia’s cybersecurity industry. We hope this collaboration will benefit the development of an increasingly secure and trustworthy digital ecosystem,’ said Benson. In addition to CREST International, ADIGSI also signed MoUs with TechUK and ADS Group. TechUK is a technology trade association in the UK with more than 1,100 members, while ADS Group represents the aerospace, defence, security, and space sectors in the United Kingdom. Both collaborations are focused on developing industry networks and exploring collaborative opportunities between business actors and technology organisations in Indonesia and the UK.
