ADIGSI Partners with CREST International to Strengthen Indonesia's Cybersecurity Talent
The Indonesian Digitalisation and Cybersecurity Association (ADIGSI) has forged a partnership with global cybersecurity organisation CREST International to strengthen talent development, industry standards, and the national cybersecurity ecosystem. The collaboration was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding on the sidelines of the UK–Indonesia Bilateral Meeting on Digital Economy and Cybersecurity in London. ADIGSI Chairman Firlie Hanggodo Ganinduto stated that the collaboration represents a strategic step to enhance the competence of Indonesia’s cybersecurity human resources whilst opening wider access to global markets. Firlie explained that strengthening talent capacity is a primary need amid rising cyber threats and the acceleration of digital transformation across various sectors. “ADIGSI is committed to driving the growth of Indonesia’s cybersecurity industry. Therefore, we view collaboration with CREST International as a strategic step to enhance the competence of national talent whilst expanding access to global markets,” he said in a written statement on Wednesday (10/6/2026). Through this partnership, both organisations will develop a series of programmes covering the strengthening of industry standards, human resource capacity building, knowledge exchange, development of accreditation pathways, and enhancement of capabilities for cybersecurity industry players in Indonesia. According to Firlie, international collaboration is important to ensure the national cybersecurity industry can keep pace with evolving global standards. Meanwhile, CREST International CEO Nick Benson assessed that Indonesia holds significant potential as one of the rapidly growing digital markets in the Asia Pacific region. He said this condition needs to be matched by strengthening the competence and professionalism of the cybersecurity sector. “This partnership is part of CREST’s commitment to supporting the development of standards, competence, and professionalism of the cybersecurity industry in Indonesia. We hope this collaboration can provide benefits for the development of an increasingly secure and trustworthy digital ecosystem,” said Benson. Besides CREST International, ADIGSI also signed memoranda of understanding with techUK and ADS Group. The cooperation with these two organisations is focused on developing industry networks and exploring collaboration opportunities between business players and technology organisations in Indonesia and the United Kingdom.
