Adi Budiarso Appointed as OJK Crypto Supervisor, Here Is His Profile
Jakarta — The Finance Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives has approved Adi Budiarso to become Executive Head of Innovation Technology Supervision for the Financial Sector, Digital Financial Assets, and Cryptocurrency at the Financial Services Authority (OJK), replacing Hasan Fawzi.
Hasan Fawzi has since taken up the position of Capital Market Supervisor at OJK, replacing Inarno Djajadi, who resigned at the end of January following a series of adverse developments in the Indonesian capital market, triggered by the freezing of Indonesian stocks in the MSCI index.
According to the Ministry of Finance website, Adi was born in Salatiga in 1970 and earned a Diploma IV from the State Finance Education and Training Institute (STAN) in 1997. In 2001, he obtained a Master of Accounting degree from the University of Southern California, followed by a Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Canberra in 2014.
He began his career as an officer at the Education and Training Body of the Ministry of Finance in 1990. Before his assignment at the Fiscal Policy Agency, he served as Head of the Central Transformation Office (CTO) at the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Finance from 2014 to 2018.
Adi also served as Secretary of the National Committee Working Group for the 2018 Annual Meetings of the IMF-World Bank Group in Bali. He previously held the position of Head of the Centre for Climate Change Finance and Multilateral Financing at the Fiscal Policy Agency.
On 24 August 2020, Adi was appointed Head of the Centre for Financial Sector Policy at the Fiscal Policy Agency, and on 13 June 2025, he was inaugurated as Director of Banking Development, Financial Markets, and Other Financing at the Directorate General for Financial Sector Stability and Development.
