Adi Arnawa Reveals Reasons Behind Badung's 2025 Revenue Missing Target
The realisation of Badung Regency’s regional revenue for the 2025 fiscal year did not meet the target. Cumulatively, regional revenue only reached Rp9.1 trillion, or approximately 81.12% of the Rp11.2 trillion target.
Badung Regent I Wayan Adi Arnawa explained that the failure to achieve the target was triggered by local own-source revenue (PAD) which only realised Rp8 trillion, or 79.20% of the target in the revised regional budget of Rp10.1 trillion. Meanwhile, transfer revenue sector reached Rp1.04 trillion, equivalent to 99.91% of the projection.
“The achievement of the targets set for 2025 appears not to have been maximal yet, especially regarding regional revenue. However, the activities carried out in Badung for 2025 remain very measured,” said Adi Arnawa after the plenary meeting on the Accountability Statement Report (LKPJ) of Badung’s 2025 Regional Budget at the Badung DPRD on Tuesday (31/3/2026).
On the expenditure side, the Badung Regency Government only absorbed a budget of Rp9.1 trillion from the total planned regional expenditure of Rp12.8 trillion. The low absorption is particularly evident in the capital expenditure sector, which only realised Rp2 trillion or 47.19% of the allocation of Rp4.4 trillion.
“Starting from 2026, we have begun executing construction for infrastructure development, including three road sections where the land has already been acquired. We are also starting physical work for flood mitigation following the flooding that struck in 2025,” added Adi Arnawa.
In addition to road infrastructure and flood handling, Adi Arnawa is also focusing on waste management issues in Badung. For example, by limiting waste disposal, namely prohibiting the delivery of organic waste to the Suwung landfill starting 1 April.
“Hopefully, through the education we provide to the community, we can truly reduce the supply of waste to the Suwung TPA. The hope is that the real results of our work will be visible by the end of 2026,” he concluded.
