Adhi Karya gets $60m project

JAKARTA: State-owned construction company PT Adhi Karya
announced on Friday that it had received a contract worth some
US$60 million to construct Sheraton Batam Hotel & Tower.

In its report to the Jakarta Stock Exchange on Friday, the
company said the contract would include physical works, such
constructing the structure of the building, setting up electrical
and mechanical systems, designing the blueprint, and providing
furniture and other supporting equipment.

The company said the construction will take about 24 months,
starting on Oct. 6 -- JP
