Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) are coordinating regarding the house of one of the witnesses, which is suspected to have been burned in the alleged corruption case related to former Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang.

“At present, it is still being coordinated so that the witness can receive protection from the LPSK,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Budi made the statement after confirming reports regarding one of the witnesses in the Ade Kunang case.

“It is true, in the alleged bribery case for the Bekasi project, the KPK received information that one of the witnesses faced intimidation from certain parties. The information we received even indicates that their house was suspected to have been burned,” he said.

Previously, the KPK conducted a sting operation (OTT) and arrested ten people in Bekasi Regency, West Java, on 18 December 2025.

On 19 December 2025, the KPK revealed that eight of the ten individuals were brought to the KPK’s Red and White Building in Jakarta for intensive examination. Two of the eight people were Ade Kunang and his father, HM Kunang.

On the same date, the KPK announced the seizure of hundreds of millions of rupiah in the case suspected to be related to bribery for projects in Bekasi Regency.

On 20 December 2025, the KPK named Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang (ADK), his father who is also the Head of Sukadami Village in Cikarang Selatan Subdistrict, Bekasi Regency, HM Kunang (HMK), and a private party named Sarjan (SRJ) as suspects in the alleged bribery case.

The KPK stated that Ade Kuswara and HM Kunang are suspects for allegedly receiving bribes, while Sarjan is a suspect for allegedly giving bribes.
