Ade Jona Prasetyo Elected HIPMI Chairman, Expected to Foster Resilient New Entrepreneurs

Ade Jona Prasetyo has been officially elected by acclamation as Chairman of the Central Board of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (BPP HIPMI) for the 2026–2029 period. The constitutional decision was made during the dynamic XVIII National Conference (Munas) held in the Ballroom of Novotel Lampung.

The acclamation for candidate number 2 was achieved after the support map in the conference arena shifted massively ahead of the final nomination stage. Two other candidates for chairman, Reynaldo Bryan (number 1) and Antony Leong (number 4), officially withdrew and merged their coalitions to provide full support to Ade Jona.

With the amalgamation of forces between the candidates, the accumulated vote support for Ade Jona Prasetyo surged sharply, exceeding the threshold required for an absolute victory, which is above 50% + 1 vote. Based on the organisation’s Articles of Association, Bylaws, and Conference Rules of Procedure, the plenary session chair immediately declared Ade Jona as the new leader of the nation’s young entrepreneurs legally and constitutionally.

Yosia Yodan, Chairman of the HIPMI Bengkulu Regional Board, who directly oversaw the proceedings, highly appreciated the political maturity demonstrated by the candidates at the Lampung Munas. “I congratulate my friend, Ade Jona Prasetyo, on the mandate as Chairman of BPP HIPMI for the 2026–2029 period. The dynamics, including the joining of my brothers Antony Leong and Reynaldo Bryan, show that in HIPMI, brotherhood is above all else,” Yosia stated on Friday (12/6).

Yosia emphasised that the legitimacy of Ade Jona’s leadership is very strong because it was born from a healthy compromise process based on official organisational rules. The success of unifying this vision is considered a key asset for the internal solidity of the organisation from the central to the regional level. “By rule, which is 50% + 1, Ade Jona Prasetyo’s victory is legally valid by acclamation. This is proof that colleagues in the regions and at the centre share the same vision to bring HIPMI forward. We at BPD HIPMI Bengkulu fully support this result and are ready to synergise in executing BPP HIPMI’s future work programmes,” Yosia asserted.

Through this new leadership, HIPMI is expected to be able to produce resilient new entrepreneur clusters at the regional level to accelerate the equitable distribution of national economic growth while answering the challenges of an increasingly fluctuating global market.
