Ade Jona Prasetyo Elected Chairman of BPP Hipmi by Acclamation
Ade Jona Prasetyo has been unanimously elected as chairman of the Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (BPP Hipmi) for the 2026-2029 period. He stressed that this victory belongs to everyone. “This is a shared victory. Because in Hipmi we are all friends, we are all brothers,” Jona said in a statement on Thursday.
Amid economic uncertainty caused by geopolitical and geoeconomic factors, Jona urged all young entrepreneurs to keep striving to prove that Hipmi can be a driving force for the economy. “The contest is over. With the spirit of competing to stand together, I invite all Hipmi cadres to jointly advance Hipmi from the central to the regional levels,” he stated.
History proves that great entrepreneurs are not those who succeed in good conditions, but those who can survive in difficult times. Moreover, Hipmi members are entrepreneurial fighters, fighting entrepreneurs. “I invite us all not to be afraid of facing the future. Every challenge always brings opportunity. When the market changes, we must adapt. When competition increases, we must improve quality,” Jona said.
According to him, this victory is not the finish line, but the beginning of a greater struggle. Hipmi must become a collaborative home with global competitiveness, creating jobs, providing benefits to society, and helping the government achieve the 8 per cent economic target. “I believe that as long as we maintain integrity, work earnestly, and never stop fighting, no economic storm, however large, will be able to stop our steps,” Jona stated.
He will also strive to orchestrate Hipmi in the regions to maximise existing potential. Each region has its own advantages, such as agriculture, plantations, fisheries, tourism, or the creative industry. “This potential must be the main focus of economic development to achieve high added value. I will also realise my vision and mission to make Hipmi more advanced,” Jona said.
He added that regional economic development is not only about increasing a region’s income but also about creating equity, prosperity, and community self-reliance. “When regions advance, provinces will be strong. When provinces are strong, Indonesia will be more advanced and competitive. Thus, we as Hipmi cadres will contribute to realising the 8 per cent economic target,” he concluded.
