Ade Jona Leads Hipmi, Sona Maesana: Time to Unite Against National Economic Challenges
Jakarta, VIVA – The XVIII National Congress (Munas) of the BPP HIPMI in Bandar Lampung, held on 10–11 June 2026, has unanimously appointed Ade Jona Prasetyo as the General Chairman of BPP HIPMI for the 2026–2029 period.
In his inaugural speech following his appointment, Ade Jona emphasised that the results of the XVIII National Congress represent a victory for all HIPMI Indonesia members and serve as a momentum to strengthen organisational solidarity.
“This acclamation is not a victory for any individual or specific group. It is a mandate from the entire HIPMI Indonesia family. Therefore, following this National Congress, there should be no more divisions or differences. What remains is the spirit to unite and work together for the progress of HIPMI and the Indonesian economy,” Ade Jona stated in a press release on Friday, 12 June 2026.
He emphasised that increasingly complex economic challenges require an entrepreneurs’ organisation that is solid, adaptive, and capable of serving as a strategic partner to the government in driving economic growth, investment, and job creation.
“HIPMI must be a large home for all young Indonesian entrepreneurs. We must strengthen collaboration, expand business opportunities, encourage the emergence of new entrepreneurs, and ensure that young Indonesian entrepreneurs can become key players in their own country and remain competitive on a global level,” he added.
Sona Maesana, the Chairman of Ade Jona Prasetyo’s campaign team, expressed appreciation to all Regional Management Boards (BPD) of HIPMI and all members for maintaining a conducive atmosphere throughout the National Congress process.
“We are grateful that the entire series of the National Congress could proceed smoothly and with a spirit of brotherhood. Thank you to all HIPMI BPDs for placing their trust in Ade Jona. This extraordinary support demonstrates that HIPMI shares the same commitment to continue progressing and contributing to the nation,” said Sona.
According to him, Ade Jona’s success in gaining widespread support from various regions was the result of a process of communication, networking, and the unification of ideas built over recent months.
“Now is the time for all members to regroup. The contest is over, and the great agenda awaiting us is how HIPMI can become stronger, more solid, and more relevant in responding to the future challenges of the business world,” he concluded.
