Ade Armando Responds to JK's Spokesperson: What Lessons Can Be Learned from My Case?
“What lessons can be learned from my case?” said Ade Armando when contacted on Thursday (7/5/2026). He did not elaborate further on his statement. Instead, he claimed not to understand the intent of Husain Abdullah. “I don’t understand,” he said. Statement from JK’s Spokesperson As is known, Ade Armando decided to resign from the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) as a result of a police report against him by 40 Islamic community organisations (ormas) related to the alleged editing of speeches by the 10th and 12th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla (JK). JK’s spokesperson, Husain Abdullah, hopes this issue becomes a lesson for anyone. He initially stated that Ade Armando’s resignation from PSI is an internal matter. He mentioned that there are indeed connections to PSI. “Regarding Ade Armando’s resignation from his party, that falls into his internal domain. Which is supposedly because he doesn’t want his party to be implicated,” said Husain when contacted on Wednesday (6/5). Nevertheless, he hopes this can serve as a lesson for anyone, not just Ade Armando. According to him, the practices carried out by Ade Armando and others should no longer be done. “Therefore, this is a lesson for everyone. Not just for Ade Armando. That practices of public deception like that, which resemble agitation and propaganda aimed at misleading public opinion, for character assassination against someone, should be stopped,” he stated.
