Addressing Congestion in Cikampek, Contraflow Expanded

JAKARTA - To anticipate the increase in traffic volume heading towards Cikampek during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) together with the police will continue to implement traffic engineering in the form of contraflow on Saturday (21/3/2026). The contraflow for vehicles heading to Trans-Java will be applied from Km 47 to Km 55 in Cikampek with one lane. Then, the contraflow will continue from Km 55 to Km 70 towards Cikampek with a scheme of two lanes starting at 13.55 WIB to alleviate congestion heading east. Ria Marlinda Paallo, Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, stated that the implementation of this traffic engineering is an effort to maintain the smoothness of vehicle flow and ensure the safety of toll road users. Furthermore, JTT urges all Trans-Java toll road users to always prioritise safety while driving. No less important, users are also urged to ensure sufficient electronic money balance before entering the toll road, as well as to obey traffic signs and instructions from officers in the field.
