Addressing Complaints About Heat and Rain, KAI Commuter to Build Canopies on Bogor Station Platforms

BOGOR - KAI Commuter has stated that it will provide canopies on the platform section at Bogor Station. The construction will be carried out alongside the platform extension work as well as tracks 6 to 8. For information, that construction work requires the closure of platforms 6 to 8 at Bogor Station for approximately 90 days. The canopies built on platforms 6 to 8 will also connect to the Bogor Station walkway. According to Karina, the provision of these canopies addresses the complaints from the public who need protection from heat and rain while on the platform. “These canopies will be connected, they will connect to the walkway direction. Thus, this answers the public’s complaints regarding the need for canopies at Bogor Station,” she added. KAI Commuter has also prepared passenger flow engineering to anticipate congestion during the construction period. Karina explained that they have arranged passenger pathways, both for entering and exiting Bogor Station. The alternative route is on the right side of the West Gate (Jalan Mayor Oking) towards the platform. In addition, some passengers will be directed to the East Gate (towards Bogor City Square), while passengers heading to the West Gate will be directed via the Paledang Skybridge.
