Additional BTS concert date in Jakarta seen as proof of global trust

Jakarta - The Governor of Jakarta, Pramono Anung Wibowo, has stated that the increase in the concert schedule for the K-Pop group BTS in Jakarta serves as evidence of rising international confidence in the capital.

“What pleases me is that people now have trust in Jakarta. For example, although there is K-Pop in December, featuring the world-renowned K-Pop stars BTS, what was originally only two days, on 26-2t December, has been extended by one day to the 29th because Jakarta is trusted. So, it will be on the 26th, 27th, and 29th,” Pramono said in Central Jakarta on Friday.

He also assessed that the presence of global stages will provide a positive impact on Jakarta’s economy. According to him, the presence of international events is capable of driving the city’s economic wheels more broadly, ranging from the hospitality, transport, and culinary sectors to micro-enterprises that will also feel the benefits.

“Therefore, the contribution to the economy in Jakarta will certainly be significant,” Pramono remarked.

Furthermore, he viewed the promoter’s decision to add a concert day for the K-Pop group as an indication that Jakarta is capable of providing a sense of safety and comfort for the organisation of international events.

“This shows that one of the primary measures is when global stages arrive in Jakarta and they feel safe, comfortable, and so on,” said Pramono.

“Due to very high demand, the 3rd performance of the BTS WORLD TOUR ARIRANG IN JAKARTA has been added!” the promoter announced via Instagram.

IME Indonesia conveyed that the additional performance will be held on 29 December 2026. Ticket sales will reopen on 19 June 2026, from 12:00 to 22:00 WIB, for fans holding ARMY Membership.

This will be followed by general ticket sales on 20 June 2026, starting from 12:00 WIB until a time yet to be determined.

Previously, the BTS concert titled “ARIRANG” was confirmed to be held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta, from 26 to 27 December 2026. Ticket sales for membership fans took place on 9 June, while general public sales commenced on 11 June 2026.

BTS is a boy group that debuted under the agency BigHit Music in 2013, and their work is now recognised worldwide. Some of their famous songs include “DNA”, “Mic Drop”, “Boy With Luv”, “Dynamite”, “Butter”, “Permission to Dance”, and “ON”.

Most recently, BTS released an album titled “ARIRANG” with the lead single titled “SWIM”.
