Opportunities for travel tourism to Vietnam for Indonesian people are increasingly opening up. This comes alongside the increased flight capacity implemented by the airline Vietjet ahead of the national holiday period in that country.

In the period from 25 April to 5 May 2026, Vietjet will operate nearly 3,800 flights on its domestic Vietnam network. This number increases by around 500 flights or 16% compared to the same period the previous year. Seat capacity will also rise to around 832,000 seats, an addition of 130,000 seats or 18% annual growth.

This surge in capacity is aimed at anticipating high mobility during a series of major days in Vietnam, such as Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day, Reunification Day, and International Labour Day, which become one of the busiest travel seasons after the Lunar New Year celebrations.

Several major domestic routes will also be strengthened, including connectivity to popular cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Hue, Quy Nhon, and Phu Quoc.

In addition to the capacity increase, Vietjet is offering ticket promotions with discounts of up to 20% using the code SALE20 for Deluxe, SkyBoss, and Business classes. This promotion is valid until 10 April 2026 for travel periods up to 31 August 2026.

For Indonesian tourists, this capacity increase provides momentum to plan trips to Vietnam. Currently, Vietjet serves direct routes from Jakarta and Bali to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

The airline will also strengthen connectivity by opening a new Jakarta-Da Nang route starting from 1 June 2026 with a frequency of five return flights per week.

Vietjet’s management stated that network expansion and increased flight frequency are part of the strategy to strengthen regional connectivity while providing ease of access for tourists in the Asia-Pacific region.

As Vietnam’s largest private airline, Vietjet is recorded as a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and has obtained IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) safety certification.

Looking ahead, the company will continue to expand its international network, including the opening of new routes such as Nha Trang-Singapore and Hanoi-Shizuoka in Japan, to support tourism growth and global mobility.

To celebrate the launch of this new route, Vietjet is presenting ticket promotions starting from Rp0 (excluding taxes and additional fees) for the flight network between Vietnam and Indonesia.

This offer applies to all Vietjet domestic and international routes, including the four direct Indonesia-Vietnam flight routes.

Vietjet is preparing strategic steps by introducing a limited ticket sales programme aimed at supporting passenger movement throughout 2026.

With four direct routes connecting Indonesia and Vietnam, Vietjet is increasingly facilitating Indonesian tourists in planning holidays.

Through Vietjet’s extensive flight network, tourists can also easily continue their journeys to various attractive destinations throughout Vietnam.
