ADB offers 100 scholarships

KENDARI, Southeast Sulawesi: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is offering 100 scholarships to students at the Kendari-based Haluoleo University, the third assistant of the rector, LM Arsyad Teno, said here over the weekend.

"Similar scholarships have also been offered to our lecturers wishing to take a postgraduate or doctoral program," he said as quoted by Antara.

He added the university was now selecting students eligible for the scholarships.

He said, however, that some 60 percent of the prospective scholarship recipients would be from the faculties of science and mathematic as these faculties need much more money than the others.

The ADB has also extended scholarships to nine other state universities across Indonesia.
