Adaro and AlamTri Share Joy with 1,000 Orphans at Iftar

Adaro Andalan Indonesia Tbk (Adaro) and Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk (AlamTri) hosted an iftar for 1,000 orphans with the theme ‘Ramadan Strengthens Ties, Fosters Caring, Reaches Blessing’ at the At-Thohir Mosque in Cimanggis, Depok, West Java, on Friday, 6 March. The event, attended by senior management and employees of Adaro and AlamTri, was not only an occasion to break the fast but also a demonstration of social responsibility and a means to strengthen fraternal ties, conveying messages of compassion and hope for the children who are to become pillars of Indonesia Emas 2045. The Foundation Amanah Bangun Negeri (YABN) Board of Patrons and also Deputy President Commissioner of Alamtri, H Garibaldi Boy Thohir, said the Iftar with 1,000 orphans was held as an expression of gratitude and joy during the holy month. ‘Ramadan teaches us to feel what they feel. Through togetherness, we want to instill spirit and hope so that the orphans can continue to have confidence in pursuing their dreams. This is our commitment to supporting the government’s vision in preparing a resilient future generation towards Indonesia Emas,’ he stated. According to Boy, the activity, which has run for 14 years since 2011, is packaged as a food festival and features a sermon by Ustadz Hilman Fauzi along with distributions to all orphans. The event took place at the iconic At-Thohir Mosque in Depok, built in 2016 by H Boy Thohir together with his two brothers as a symbol of devotion to their late father, H Mochamad Thohir. Previously, the two companies’ support and contributions to building high-quality, intelligent human resources with strong character and noble morals, and support for the Government’s Indonesia Emas 2045 vision, have also been realised consistently through the PAUD Berkarakter programme. The collaboration between Adaro and AlamTri is expected to bring positive impacts to communities and support the realisation of Indonesia’s great aspirations under YABN’s coordination.
