Adara Releases Baitul Maqdis Education Module, 131 Educators Attend Workshop in Jakarta

Adara Relief International held a Baitul Maqdis Workshop for Educators titled ‘A Weaver of the Future’ at the National Library of Indonesia in Jakarta on Sunday (19/7/2026). The event, attended by 131 educators, also marked the launch of the Indonesian-language version of the ‘Prophets and Baitul Maqdis’ educational module for teachers and students. The module, created by educator and storyteller Sara El-Awaisi, equips teachers to impart the history and values of Baitul Maqdis to children through creative methods, ranging from storytelling and singing to activities such as Al Aqsa Playdough and Map Activity. The module has previously been used in several countries and is now available in Indonesian. ‘Education is the most effective means of instilling values of care from an early age. We hope this workshop will strengthen commitment and foster new enthusiasm to continue supporting the struggle for the liberation of Masjid Al Aqsa,’ said Adara Relief International CEO Maryam Rachmayani in a speech delivered via recording from Istanbul, Turkey, amidst her humanitarian agenda. As the main speaker, Sara El-Awaisi, Secretary of the Academy for Islamic Jerusalem Studies (ISRA) and founder of Aqsa for Kids, not only presented the material but also demonstrated directly how to teach it. ‘It is very important to raise children who are aware of the significance of Masjid Al Aqsa. Today we are launching the curriculum,’ she said. The workshop was attended by teachers, lecturers, education students, parents, and representatives of children’s educational institutions. It was organised in collaboration with Al Aqsa Berkisah, Saladin Community, Baitul Maqdis Stories, and Sabin for Palestine. ‘This workshop is a small but meaningful step in nurturing the next generation’s concern for Baitul Maqdis. We hope the seeds planted today will continue to grow, both in the classroom and in the hearts of every child who learns about it. This programme is part of Adara Relief International’s ongoing commitment to educating the public about Baitul Maqdis and Palestine,’ said Adara Relief International Programme Director Latifah Hariawati. This educational effort will continue through the Al Aqsa Berkisah Roadshow for the Maulid Nabi edition from 24 August to 15 September 2026, bringing Adara storytellers directly to children.
