Adara Invites Public to Create Art for Al-Aqsa and Palestine
After successfully distributing thousands of images of the Al-Aqsa Mosque through educational roadshows across various regions of Indonesia, Adara Relief International, through the One House One Aqsa movement, is now presenting Art & Craft for Palestine. Through this programme, Adara invites the public to express their concern for Al-Aqsa and Palestine through works of art.
“Art and Craft for Palestine serves as a platform for the community, particularly those with a passion for the arts, to channel their compassion through creativity in a peaceful and inclusive way,” said Indah Kurniati, Fundraising Director of Adara, as quoted from a press release received on Thursday (9/7).
In this activity, Adara is collaborating with various communities, including KPMIP, PUSPA, Rajut Indonesia, and Hands of Ummah from Japan. As a first step, since June 2026 Adara has invited the public to create artworks themed on Palestine or the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Macramé keychains, brooches, and various other handicrafts have become expressions of creativity as well as solidarity with Palestine. To date, more than 400 works have been collected. This figure is expected to continue growing ahead of the culminating event.
Adara will distribute all the collected works free of charge to the public at the peak of the Art & Craft for Palestine Celebration on 22 August 2026 at Pasaraya Blok M, Jakarta. The celebration will also feature various creative activities, artistic performances, an exhibition of works, and a series of educational events to strengthen solidarity with Palestine.
“This event is not focused on the finished works. We want to show that the spirit of creativity can be a means of spreading empathy and upholding humanitarian values. Through this event, we also want to raise support for the Palestinian people, who still need assistance,” added Indah.
Not only that, several selected works will be auctioned at Adara’s next event as an effort to support humanitarian programmes for Palestine.
