The Orang Rimba community, residing within the Bukit Duabelas National Park (TNBD) utilisation zone in Sarolangun, Jambi, is undergoing a significant lifestyle shift. Since 2018, 42 heads of families inhabiting 56.5 hectares of the TNBD utilisation zone have begun adapting to farming and gardening practices. This transition from their traditional hunting and gathering way of life is a direct response to massive changes in their living space and environment, which have made it difficult to locate wild animals and non-timber forest products. The Indonesian Conservation Community (KKI) Warsi has been providing assistance to the community during this period of adaptation.
