AdaKami says online lending industry increasingly a financing choice for the public
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Pembiayaan Digital Indonesia (AdaKami) Finance Director Valentina Juveline stated that the online lending industry is increasingly becoming a financing choice for the public, particularly those not optimally served by formal financial services.
“Financial Services Authority (OJK) data shows that the outstanding financing of the online lending industry in June 2026 reached Rp105.14 trillion, growing by 25.38 percent year-on-year,” she said during the launch of AdaKami’s Transparency Campaign in Jakarta on Thursday.
This growth indicates that the public’s need for financing access continues to increase. However, she added, the larger this industry grows, the greater the responsibility to ensure that this growth is accompanied by consumer protection.
One of the aspects AdaKami is campaigning for is transparency in loan information to build public trust.
“Consumers have the right to know all information about the product they will use before making a decision, from interest rates, fees, tenors, to instalment structures. With clear and easy-to-understand information, the public can make wiser financial decisions according to their needs and capabilities,” Valentina stated.
This principle is also stated to be in line with the 2023 OJK Regulation on Consumer Protection in the financial services sector, which places information transparency as a key principle in providing financial services.
“On that basis, today we reaffirm our commitment through the ‘Buka-Bukaan’ campaign, which is AdaKami’s initiative to strengthen the consumer protection pillar,” she added.
