AdaKami Affirms Commitment to Transparency in Line with OJK Regulations
Strategic Communication and Brand Lead of PT Pembiayaan Digital Indonesia (AdaKami), Jonathan Kriss, has confirmed that the company is in line with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) regulations regarding transparency. He stated that transparency is not new to AdaKami, as the company has ensured it since first serving the public in 2019. However, this year, the company specifically aims to reaffirm this commitment. The firm emphasised its transparency commitment through three main pillars that users can directly understand within the application. The first is no upfront deductions, meaning loan funds are received in full. Secondly, monthly instalments are fixed per 30-day period, as per the information displayed from the start. The final pillar is no hidden fees, ensuring the amount of funds received, interest, service fees, tenor, instalment schedule, and total obligations are fully displayed before the consumer approves the loan. AdaKami stated that this commitment to transparency is reflected in user comprehension levels. A study by the Institute for Economic and Social Research, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (LPEM FEB UI) in 2026 showed that more than 95 percent of AdaKami users understand their total payment obligations before agreeing to a loan. Through the ‘Buka-Bukaan’ campaign, AdaKami aims to promote loan information transparency as a minimum standard every consumer should receive. This step is declared to be in line with the OJK’s direction to encourage the financial services industry to provide open, transparent, and responsible services to create a stronger consumer protection ecosystem.
