Acupuncturists to hold expo
JAKARTA: The Indonesian Acupuncturists Association (Paksi) plans to hold an exhibition from Dec. 4 to Dec. 6 at the Jakarta Convention Center in Senayan, Central Jakarta.
The Indonesian Acupuncture Expo 2004, the first of its kind, will feature seminars, workshops, presentations and an exhibition.
"We want to present the development of acupuncture to the public," said Paksi chairman Tomi Hardjatno on Wednesday. "There are many misconceptions regarding acupuncture. Some people think it can cure anything, while it actually has limitations."
Some 600 acupuncturists from across the archipelago, as well as several practitioners from China, Vietnam, South Korea, Malaysia and Australia, will participate in the three-day event. -- JP
