Acting Jampidsus: Two Individuals with Initials F and DS Named as Suspects
Acting Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Rudi Margono has stated that two individuals, with the initials F and DS, have been named as suspects in three alleged corruption cases related to coal governance that caused power outages in Sumatra. “The information is that two suspects have been named. The first is a private party (DS) and the second is a state official with the initial F,” said Acting Jampidsus Rudi Margono during a press conference at the Attorney General’s Office in Jakarta on Saturday. The naming of the state official with the initial F as a suspect was reinforced by Commission III Chairman Habiburokhman, who was present at the press conference. “This F is the person who previously held the position where Mr Jampidsus (Rudi) is now,” he added. It was previously reported that on Thursday (9/7), a joint team from the Police Criminal Investigation Department’s Corruption Eradication Task Force (Kortastipidkor) and the Metro Jaya Regional Police searched a house in the Sentul area of Bogor Regency, West Java. Kortastipidkor Chief Inspector General Totok Suharyanto stated that investigators seized gold bars, foreign currency, and cash worth approximately Rp476 billion from the residence. In addition to the gold and money, investigators also seized a number of documents, mobile phones, and several family photographs believed to be linked to the homeowner or the owner of the items stored in a safe. The search was part of a joint investigation into three cases: alleged corruption in coal governance that triggered power outages, alleged corruption at PT Asabri and PT Jiwasraya for the 2020–2025 period, and alleged money laundering in the settlement of PT CBS’s debt to PT KNI.
