Acting Secretary (Plt) of Cilegon City, Ahmad Aziz Setia Ade Putra, conducted monitoring of the Academic Ability Test (TKA) for sixth-grade primary school (SD) students at SDN Sumampir on Monday, 20 April 2026.

The monitoring was accompanied by Assistant Regional I of Cilegon City, Mahmudin, Head of the Communication, Informatics, Statistics, and Encryption Agency of Cilegon City, Agus Zulkarnain, as well as related regional apparatus staff, including elements from the Education and Culture Agency of Cilegon City.

On that occasion, Ahmad Aziz stated that the TKA implementation at SDN Sumampir was conducted in three sessions. He explained that the first session, held in the morning, was attended by 22 students and proceeded orderly and smoothly.

“Today, we from the Cilegon City Government are monitoring the academic ability test for sixth-grade SD students, and on this occasion, we are visiting SDN Sumampir. Alhamdulillah, the first session this morning ran orderly and smoothly; hopefully, the results will also be optimal,” he said.

Furthermore, Aziz conveyed that the TKA results can serve as one of the references for students in continuing their education to the junior high school (SMP) level, particularly through the achievement pathway.

“The results of this academic test can later be utilised by students to proceed to higher education levels or to SMP, one of which can be through the achievement pathway via this academic ability test,” he stated.

Aziz also emphasised that the TKA implementation is not mandatory. However, the high enthusiasm of the students meant that almost all sixth-grade pupils in 184 primary schools in Cilegon City participated.

“Actually, this TKA is not required for all students, but due to the children’s high enthusiasm to continue to the next education level, they all ended up participating,” he explained.

He assessed that the TKA implementation can serve as motivation for students to enhance their academic abilities, especially for those seeking selection pathways based on achievement.

“This TKA implementation becomes motivation for students because if they cannot go through other pathways, they still have the opportunity through the academic pathway to continue to higher education levels,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Primary Education Division of the Education and Culture Agency of Cilegon City, Suhanda, stated that the TKA implementation follows applicable national regulations for all education levels, from SD, SMP, SMA to SMK.

“This activity is carried out in accordance with national regulations, so it is not only for the SD level but also applies to SMP, SMA, and SMK,” he said.

Suhanda added that for the primary school level in Cilegon City, the TKA implementation is scheduled from 20 to 30 April 2026, gradually at each school.

“For the SD level, the implementation starts today, 20 April, until 30 April 2026,” he concluded.
