Acting Bank Indonesia (BI) Governor Destry Damayanti arrived at the State Palace on Monday afternoon (27/7/2026).

“Invitation for a coordination meeting,” Destry said when asked about her arrival.

Destry has officially served as Acting BI Governor following a Board of Governors meeting, replacing Perry Warjiyo who resigned from his position on Saturday, 25 July 2026. Warjiyo’s resignation was formalised in a letter to President Prabowo Subianto.

When asked about the market reaction to Warjiyo’s resignation, Destry stated that the central bank would continue to maintain financial stability. “BI continues to maintain financial stability, the rupiah remains a priority,” she said.

Regarding whether BI would continue intervention efforts, Destry confirmed, “We continue to do what we have been doing previously.”

Also spotted arriving at the palace were the Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Friderica Widyasari Dewi and the Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners of the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) Anggito Abimanyu. Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa was also reported to be in attendance. The meeting was convened by the President following the resignation of Perry Warjiyo, bringing together the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK).
