Acting Bekasi Regent Visits 11 Train Accident Victims, Provides Compensation

Acting Regent Asep stated that they had provided some compensation to those present. However, for the deceased victims, Bekasi Regency is providing a death benefit of Rp 20 million, he said after visiting the victims at Bekasi District Hospital on Thursday (30/4/2026). Asep mentioned that there are 11 residents of Bekasi Regency who are victims of the accident and are still being treated at Bekasi District Hospital. According to him, several victims are already starting to recover. So today I visited 11 patients. One is still waiting for surgery, while the others we saw some are starting to recover and some can go home. In Bekasi Regency, there were 12 deaths out of 16, he added. Asep added that residents of Bekasi Regency who became victims can receive assistance for check-ups once they have recovered. According to him, Bekasi Regency District Hospital is ready to accommodate them. If they have recovered and are allowed to go home, then for check-ups, they can do so at Bekasi Regency District Hospital, so it’s close by, he said.
