Achievers receive scholarship

BANDAR LAMPUNG, Lampung (JP): A cooperative of local civil servants has provided scholarships for 74 high achievers.

Mayor Suharto also said that some of the students were the children of civil servants, Antara reported yesterday. The amount of the monthly scholarship ranges from Rp 20,000 (approximately US$8.8) to Rp 40,000.

"We hope this scholarship will motivate you to work harder," Suharto told the students in a ceremony Wednesday. (swe)
