JAKARTA - The Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) has recorded that the realisation of the Self-Help Housing Stimulus Assistance (BSPS) programme, or house renovation, up to 1 April 2026 has exceeded the initial target. The BSPS realisation and acceleration projection has reached Rp 204.4 billion, higher than the initial target of Rp 163.8 billion. Director General of Settlement Areas at the Ministry of PKP, Fitrah Nur, stated that this achievement indicates an acceleration in the implementation of the house renovation programme this year. “As of 1 April, the BSPS realisation and acceleration projection has reached Rp 204.4 billion, higher than the initial target of Rp 163.8 billion. Hopefully, the realisation can be faster than what we have projected,” said Fitrah Nur at the Ministry of PKP Office, Wisma Mandiri 2, Jakarta, on Thursday (30/4/2026). The main focus is directed towards building people’s homes through the BSPS programme, multi-storey housing (Rusun), special housing (Rusus), and housing finance support for low-income communities (MBR). In the performance presentation and budget absorption plan, the Ministry of PKP recorded a post-sharpening budget allocation of Rp 10.31 trillion with a target output of 406,260 units. The largest allocation is directed to the BSPS programme at Rp 8.57 trillion to support the construction and quality improvement of 400,000 housing units. In addition, the budget is also allocated for the construction of multi-storey housing at Rp 375.56 billion for 743 units and special housing at Rp 199.63 billion for 510 units. In the financing sector, the realisation of the Housing Programme Credit (KUR Perumahan) disbursement for the period 1 January to 29 April 2026 has reached Rp 14.26 trillion or 41.42 percent of the 2026 credit ceiling with a total of 68,209 debtors. Meanwhile, Minister of PKP Maruarar Sirait or Ara stated that the government this year is also expanding the construction of landed houses while encouraging multi-storey housing financing through the Housing Finance Liquidity Facility (FLPP) scheme. Meanwhile, the budget absorption realisation of the Ministry of PKP as of 1 May 2026 is recorded at Rp 640 billion or 6.21 percent of the effective budget allocation. The Ministry of PKP targets budget realisation to increase gradually to reach 97.48 percent by the end of December 2026. Optimisation of budget absorption is carried out to maintain the effectiveness of state expenditure while ensuring that all housing programmes provide direct impact to the community and support national economic growth through the housing and settlement areas sector.
