ACFFEST 2026 partners with Ruang Nonton to instil anti-corruption values in families
Jakarta — The Anti-Corruption Film Festival (ACFFEST) 2026 partnered with the Ruang Nonton community to deliver anti-corruption education through film screenings and discussion forums designed to embed anti-corruption values within families.
Themed “From the Lens, Integrity Preserved!”, the event, held at RPTRA Pinang Indah in South Jakarta on Saturday, 23 May, attracted more than 150 participants comprising PKK activists, village government officials, early-childhood educators, and families ranging from children to adults.
Anti-corruption educator Nurhuda explained during the discussion session that anti-corruption education need not always employ formal approaches but can begin with simple household habits and everyday family interactions.
“There are nine integrity values consistently promoted by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK): honesty, independence, responsibility, courage, simplicity, care, discipline, fairness, and hard work, abbreviated as ‘Jumat Bersepeda KK’,” he stated in a statement in Jakarta on Sunday.
Participants demonstrated keen engagement throughout the event. Beyond watching the films, they actively discussed, shared experiences, and voiced their perspectives on the challenges of building honest habits within families and communities.
Nisa, representing the Ruang Nonton community, stated that the programme aimed to foster the continued growth of discussion spaces dedicated to anti-corruption campaigns throughout society.
Three short films were screened: “Liburan Diam-Diam” (Silent Holiday), “Pirates Sepuluh Ribuan” (Ten Thousand Pirates), and “Subur Itu Jujur” (Fertile Means Honest). The films addressed various everyday phenomena often considered trivial but fundamentally linked to dishonest behaviour and corrupt acts.
The films demonstrated the vital role families play in shaping children’s character, habits, and integrity values from an early age.
The Family Ruang Nonton event also featured Morana Angelica, Runner-up of the 2025 North Sumatra Beauty Pageant, who shared insights into her family’s profound influence on her life journey. During the discussion, Morana emphasised that values such as discipline, responsibility, and honesty instilled from childhood formed the foundation enabling her to compete as North Sumatra’s representative in the national pageant.
“Mothers must be confident parents so that their children develop confidence too,” she reflected on her mother’s parenting approach that shaped her path to success.
