Acerpure Targets 40% TKDN Certification for Indonesian Market Entry

Acer Indonesia has officially announced that its new Acerpure Chill air conditioner line is currently undergoing the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) certification process. The company is targeting a minimum score of 40% to comply with industry regulations set by the Indonesian government. Operational Senior Director Parman Iskak stated that the certification process is underway and expected to be completed in the near future, with a separate official announcement to follow once the certificate is issued. “What is our target score for the TKDN? Of course, it is not less than the score required by the government, which is 40%. So, we hope and we are all working hard to ensure our product passes the testing and certification to achieve that 40% value,” said Parman Iskak. Beyond meeting local content standards, Acerpure has designed its product line to address shifting consumer behaviour that increasingly prioritises health, synergy, and environmental sustainability. A key focus is energy efficiency, which is also a major concern for the local government. To reduce power consumption, the Acer Group has implemented Direct Current (DC) motor technology across all its air circulation devices. The use of this component is claimed to cut electricity consumption significantly compared to conventional technology. “Actually, power efficiency has been very important to the government from day one. So, we decided that all our products, especially fans and air purifiers, will use DC motors. They can save more than 30% compared to traditional AC units,” concluded the Acer management representative. Through a combination of meeting the 40% TKDN regulation and embedding energy-saving technology, Acerpure is optimistic that the Acerpure Chill will be well received by the Indonesian public as an environmentally friendly and efficient home appliance solution.
