Acer Vero 16: Eco-Friendly Copilot+ PC Laptop Featuring Intel Core Ultra
ACER has officially introduced its latest premium laptop line, the Acer Vero 16 (V16-I71 / V16-I71T), at the Next@Acer event in Berlin, Germany. This device marks a significant evolution in Acer’s eco-friendly product line, combining sustainable materials with high performance powered by AI.
As part of the Copilot+ PC category, the Acer Vero 16 offers not only cutting-edge technology but also unprecedented ease of repair within its class. James Lin, General Manager of Notebooks at Acer Inc, emphasised that sustainability must be at the core of every stage of a product’s life cycle.
“The Acer Vero 16 embodies this philosophy through the use of responsibly selected materials and a design that prioritises repairability, while delivering the AI-powered performance that consumers expect from modern PCs,” he stated.
Continuing its environmental commitment, the Acer Vero 16 is designed to reduce ecological impact throughout its lifespan. This fourth-generation laptop raises material standards by using 50% post-industrial recycled (PIR) aluminium and 50% low-carbon aluminium for the chassis, top cover, and palm rest. Additionally, the bottom cover uses 60% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, while the screen bezel contains 30% PCR plastic.
A key innovation in this model is the transition from the 3R concept to 4R, adding ‘repairability’ to the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle. This step aims to extend device longevity and curb global electronic waste.
Behind its eco-friendly chassis, the Acer Vero 16 is powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra Series processors, up to the Core Ultra X9 388H variant. With a platform capable of generating up to 180 TOPS, this laptop is ready to handle heavy AI workloads. An efficient hybrid architecture is paired with a 71 Wh battery to ensure all-day productivity.
The visual sector is another highlight, featuring a 16-inch OLED display option with WQXGA+ 3K resolution. This screen offers a 100,000:1 contrast ratio and 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage, providing a highly vivid viewing and creative experience. To support modern connectivity, Acer has included Intel Wi-Fi 7 and two Thunderbolt 4 ports.
As a Windows 11 Copilot+ PC, the Acer Vero 16 is equipped with on-device AI features such as Cocreator for image generation, Live Captions with real-time translation, and Windows Studio Effects to enhance video call quality. Acer also includes internal solutions such as Acer PurifiedView and PurifiedVoice with AI Noise Reduction for clearer communication.
Users can quickly access system controls via the AcerSense button, which allows for performance mode adjustments, battery monitoring, and storage optimisation through a single intuitive interface.
Despite using recycled materials, the Acer Vero 16 maintains durability with MIL-STD-810H military-standard certification. The chassis finish uses a solvent-free powder coating that is more durable than conventional paint. The entire retail package also utilises 100% recyclable packaging.
