Acer Releases Swift Blade 14 and Swift Air 16: Ultra-Lightweight 799g Laptops
High mobility is now becoming the new standard in the modern working world, and Acer is addressing this challenge by launching two of its latest ultra-thin laptop lines. At the Next@Acer event held in Berlin, Germany, the Taiwanese technology manufacturer officially introduced the Acer Swift Blade 1<0xC2>4 and the Acer Swift Air 16.
Both devices, running on the Windows 11 operating system, are designed for users who require a balance between extreme portability and reliable computing performance. The Acer Swift Blade 14 stands out with a weight of less than 1 kilogram, while the Swift Air 16 offers a larger screen with cutting-edge visual technology.
The Acer Swift Blade 14 (SFB14-53CF) is the main highlight due to its super-compact design. Weighing only 799 grams and with a thickness of 12.9 mm, this laptop is one of the lightest in its class.
The secret behind the device’s lightness lies in the use of chassis materials that combine magnesium-aluminium for the C-cover and carbon fibre for the A and D covers.
Despite being extremely lightweight, its performance cannot be overlooked. This laptop is powered by an Intel Core 7 350 processor (with options up to Core 3), 12 GB of LPDDR5 memory, and up to 1 TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage. The visual sector is also impressive, featuring a 14-inch OLED panel with resolutions up to 3K (WQXGA+), 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and a screen-to-body ratio of 90%.
For users who require a larger visual workspace without sacrificing mobility, Acer presents the Swift Air 16 (SFA16-I31). Weighing 1.5 kg, this laptop features a sturdy aluminium chassis and is available in unique colours such as elemental blue, sage green, and sandstone gold.
The main advantage of the Swift Air 16 lies in its 16-inch screen with an OLED WQXGA+ (2880 x 1800) panel option. This screen supports a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a brightness level of 500 nits. To support productivity, Acer has included a 70 Wh battery that supports fast charging, allowing the battery to reach 50% charge in just 30 minutes using a 100W adapter.
Regarding price and availability, Acer stated that specifications and pricing will vary depending on the region. For the Indonesian market, consumers are advised to monitor official information through the official Acer Indonesia website to obtain local launch details and prices in Rupiah.
