Acer launches new product
JAKARTA (JP): Personal computer manufacturer Acer announced on Monday the upcoming launch of its WT 300 Windows-based terminal for the Indonesian market.
The company's senior vice president and general manager of Acer's branded business unit, T.Y Lay, said the WT 300 provided commercial computing users with a distinct alternative to desktop PCs for networked Windows-environment applications.
Lay said the WT 300 offered positive, worry-free and secure total costs control (TCO) for information technology (IT) management.
"As more businesses are taking advantage of network and server technology, it is incumbent upon us to create real, usable solutions to their TCO quandaries. The WT 3000 provides IT management a new and surprisingly simple way to meet the TCO challenge, head on," Lay said in a statement.
Acer, established in Taiwan in 1976, which claims to be the world's third largest PC manufacturer, currently has 120 companies in 37 countries worldwide. (gis)
