Aceh to hand out booklets on deal

BANDA ACEH, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam: Fifteen thousand booklets are being prepared by the Aceh provincial administration to familiarize the public with the signed peace deal between the government and the Free Aceh Movement (GAM).

The booklets, jointly prepared in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration, will be distributed to the Acehnese in 21 regencies and municipalities.

Head of the administration's information and communications office T. Pribadi said on Friday it was expected the booklets would reach all layers of the community, making them aware of the peace deal, which was signed in Helsinki on Aug. 15 this year.
