Aceh Task Force Pushes for Realisation of Rp 1.65 Trillion in Post-Disaster Recovery Funds
The Task Force for Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (Satgas PRR) in Sumatra is urging the Aceh provincial and district/city governments to immediately realise the additional Regional Transfer Funds (TKD) amounting to Rp 1.65 trillion. The push aims to ensure the allocated budget is swiftly translated into recovery programmes that provide tangible benefits to communities affected by the disaster.
Head of the Aceh Region Post for the PRR Task Force, Safrizal ZA, stated that the task force will directly monitor the progress of budget absorption. He noted that the results of this monitoring will be made public starting Monday as part of an effort to maintain acceleration, transparency, and accountability. “We have asked the regional governments, both provincial and district/city, to realise the TKD as soon as possible,” Safrizal said in a statement on Saturday.
He explained that the Chairman of the PRR Task Force, who is also the Minister of Home Affairs, Muhammad Tito Karnavian, has led several specific meetings to ensure the funds are used immediately according to regional needs. The monitoring will not only cover administrative completeness but also the implementation of activities and their benefits for the recovery process.
Of the total additional TKD of Rp 1.652 trillion, Rp 824.82 billion has been allocated to the Aceh Provincial Government, while the remaining Rp 827.26 billion is distributed among district and city governments. Several districts and cities in Aceh have also received financial assistance through inter-regional grant schemes to support the recovery process.
Based on the budget mapping, the infrastructure sector received the largest allocation at approximately Rp 972.92 billion. Other allocations include Rp 361.62 billion for other affairs, Rp 194.93 billion for education, Rp 60.43 billion for agriculture, and Rp 39.31 billion for health. The significant portion for infrastructure reflects the region’s need to restore connectivity and basic public services, including the construction and rehabilitation of roads, bridges, irrigation, and residential areas.
All activity plans to be financed through the additional TKD have been incorporated into the regional budgets (APBD). The Aceh Government has also issued Governor Regulation Number 10 of 2026 as the basis for budget adjustments. Safrizal confirmed that the focus is now on accelerating field implementation, with progress updates to be announced publicly on Monday.
