Aceh Tamiang Huntap Acceleration: PRR Task Force Reinforces Local Government and HGU Holder Commitment
The hope for thousands of disaster survivors in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh, to soon occupy permanent housing (huntap) is beginning to see light. The Aceh Tamiang Regency Government, together with the Task Force for the Acceleration of Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (Satgas PRR) for Sumatra, has reached a series of agreements with companies holding Cultivation Rights Titles (HGU) to accelerate the provision of land for huntap construction.
The agreement was reached during a Coordination Meeting on the Acceleration of HGU Land Release involving the Aceh Tamiang Regency Government, the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP), the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Aceh Regional Office of the National Land Agency, HGU-holding companies, and the National Command Post of the Satgas PRR on Tuesday (30/6).
The meeting focused on resolving various land provision obstacles, which have been one of the main challenges in accelerating post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction.
During the discussions, several company-owned plots of land reached an agreement to be immediately followed up as huntap construction sites. Land owned by PTPN, PT Socfindo, PT Betami, PT Bahruni, and PT Evan Group was declared to have completed discussions, while several other companies are still completing administrative stages or preparing replacement land. This development opens up opportunities to accelerate the planned construction of 2,212 huntap units.
Brigadier General TNI Andre Julian, Deputy Head of Data for the Satgas PRR Command Post, stated that the task force continues to facilitate coordination between the regional government and HGU holders so that land requirements can be met without hindering the construction process. According to him, resolving land issues is a crucial stage for rehabilitation and reconstruction to proceed on target.
βThe results of the meeting synchronised the landowners whose land will be used by the Aceh Tamiang Regency Government as prospective huntap construction sites. In essence, an agreement has been reached between the Aceh Tamiang Regency Government and several landowners to immediately carry out this huntap construction in parallel,β said Andre.
He explained that the acceleration of rehabilitation and reconstruction is carried out through huntap construction by the Ministry of PKP, which runs concurrently with the completion of land release administration. This approach was chosen so that the community does not have to wait for the entire administrative process to be completed before construction begins.
