Aceh PRR Task Force Urges Acceleration of Stimulus Funds and Permanent Housing

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Safrizal Zakaria Ali, Head of the Regional Post (Kaposwil) of the Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Acceleration Task Force (PRR) for Aceh, has urged all regency and municipal Disaster Management Agencies (BPBD) to immediately accelerate the absorption of housing stimulus funds and speed up the construction of permanent housing (Huntap).

Safrizal also stressed the importance of effectiveness in the field so that people’s rights can be fulfilled promptly.

“I ask the entire BPBD apparatus to immediately accelerate fund absorption and speed up Huntap progress. Avoid further delays, and take a proactive approach so that people’s rights are fulfilled on time,” Safrizal said in a statement issued in Jakarta on Wednesday.

As is known, the transition period from emergency to post-disaster recovery in Aceh has now entered its final stage and will end on 30 July 2026.

Based on data as of 14 July 2026, BNPB has disbursed stimulus assistance to BPBD offices across Aceh, with total transfers amounting to Rp653.7 billion. Of that amount, Rp570.03 billion has been deposited into residents’ accounts, with total spending realisation across the whole of Aceh Province reaching Rp240,576,246,500.

In terms of the utilisation of the stimulus funds, Aceh Tamiang Regency recorded the highest spending realisation in Aceh, reaching Rp140.9 billion.

Conversely, Gayo Lues Regency recorded the lowest spending realisation, making it one of the areas receiving special attention from the Task Force.

Meanwhile, for the category of severely damaged houses, the government has targeted the completion of 12,671 Huntap units. Currently, 398 units are under construction and 85 units have been completed.

The Task Force reminded that this acceleration is crucial so that all affected residents can have decent housing before the transition period ends.
