Aceh PRR Task Force Distributes Aid to Flood and Landslide Victims in Pidie
The Aceh Task Force for Accelerating Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (Satgas PRR) distributed aid to victims of hydrometeorological disasters in Pidie Regency on Tuesday (17/3). The handover of humanitarian assistance was carried out by the Head of the Regional Post of the Aceh PRR Task Force, Safrizal ZA, at the Pidie Regency Pendopo in Sigli, and was directly received by Pidie Regent Sarjani Abdullah.
Safrizal stated that the aid represents the central government’s concern for the communities affected by floods and landslides in the area.
“This aid is the President’s attention to the disaster-affected communities, and it will be distributed by the local government,” he said.
The distributed aid includes worship equipment such as 250 copies of the Al-Qur’an, 500 prayer mats, 250 sarongs, and 250 mukenas. Additionally, various clothing needs were provided, including 5,000 pairs of trousers, 400 jackets, 1,000 shirts, 1,000 T-shirts, 1,000 sarongs, as well as 1,000 other garments and 500 hijabs.
The Satgas PRR also handed over 270 packages of kitchen equipment for affected residents who lost their household items. Each package contains basic necessities such as pots, plates, glasses, spoons, and forks.
Pidie Regent Sarjani Abdullah expressed appreciation for the aid provided by the central government through the Satgas PRR.
He hopes that the aid can alleviate the burden on the communities affected by the disaster in his region.
