Banda Aceh — The Aceh Regional Police (Polda Aceh) provided five tonnes of rice through a low-cost market programme as part of the National Police Food Movement initiative, aimed at supporting government efforts to maintain stability in food supply and prices for the public.

The low-cost market, organised as part of the National Police Food Movement, took place at the grounds of Baitusshalihin Ulee Kareng Mosque in Banda Aceh on Friday.

Kombes Pol Joko Krisdiyanto, Head of the Public Relations Division of Polda Aceh, stated that the low-cost market enabled residents to obtain essential commodities at affordable prices.

“For the low-cost market at the mosque grounds, Polda Aceh has prepared five tonnes of food price stabilisation programme (SPHP) rice and 50 litres of cooking oil, targeting 500 beneficiaries,” he said.

Beyond the mosque market, Krisdiyanto noted that the Community Development Directorate (Binmas) of Polda Aceh also conducted the National Police Food Movement by distributing 20 tonnes of rice through mobile operations across the community.

Similarly, police precincts (Polresta) and police departments (Polres) under Polda Aceh distributed 32 tonnes of food price stabilisation programme (SPHP) rice and 100 litres of cooking oil to 3,300 beneficiaries across their respective operational areas.

“The low-cost market represents Polda Aceh’s commitment to the community and strengthens coordination between the National Police and local government in safeguarding food security and maintaining stability in the prices of essential commodities across Aceh,” Krisdiyanto stated.
